It almost felt like hunger pains, so throughout the late morning and early afternoon I ate a few items. The pain did not go away. By the time I was ready to leave work that evening I was very weak and shaky. I called my husband to come pick me up. All I could think about was going home and going to bed. About halfway home, I thought I needed medical attention. Sure enough, I went to the Emergency Room and within 2 hours they diagnosed me with early appendicitis. Late that night I went in for surgery. I never would have guessed appendicitis. I was not a strong sharp pain you always hear about, and it centered in the middle of my stomach, not on the right, even though when the doctor started poking around, I realized the lower right was where the pain was generating from. I’m just very grateful I decided to go to the hospital instead of home to sleep. Comments
