To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Newly Diagnosed With Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Left Breast On November 26, 2009, the surgeon who performed a ultra sound guided needle biopsy on my left breast a week ago, informed me that the result showed a 1 cm invasive ductal carcinoma. I am scared, mostly of the pain and suffering involve in the treatment regimen. I also feel scared of the unknown, and what if questions.I am a RN, with critical care nursing background, and I feel loss and numb. I cannot eat or drink, my body is shutting down without my input. I will have sugery on December 3, after a sentinel node biopsy. Is there anyone experiencing this event? November 2009
