To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download colon resection. I am 46 years old. I had a colonoscopy where a precancerous poloyp was found. two weeks ago i was admitted into hospital to have the colon resection I could not have a laproscopy because of two previous c sections and one bowel obsrtuction and another op for removal of adhesions. My first surgery was not sucesssful. I had a leakage from the colon reconnection site as it was stapled. A stand by Dr had to go back in and sew it back together, plus clean out all the leakage into my abdomen. I am home now after two weeks. I still have a low grade pneumonia being treated with antibiotics. I am still a little apprehensive as I am am having slight bright red bleeding from my rectum. I am hoping it is just from all the loose bowel movements and maybe a small hemmoroid …that I have been experiencing since I had the surgery. I have an appt next thursday with my Dr. Please pray that all will be well. February 2008
