I am a 65 year old female. I Had surgury Nov of 2007 for diverticulitis They took out about 12 inches of colon. I had Chrones also. Between the 2, I was in pain several times a month. I no longer have any pain, sometimes a little gas pain, but I do have diareah most of the time (don’t know if this is common) when I eat. So don’t eat unless I can be home. However, that is minor compared to the cramping and bleeding I had before the surgury.
