I had approx. 8 inches removed last week. The recovery was more intense than i had imagined for the first few days but it does get easier each day. You definately need help at home after open surgery as your movement is restricted. I woke up with a lot of tubes in me but due to the crohns i was extremely run down and needed extreme nutrition and a blood transfusion. It was scary but it did get easier each day. Day 4 was the turning point for me so if you need this done remember open surgery will take time. |
