To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download on my way to recovery and healing My ordeal started in July 07 absess was small and bothersome my primary doctor whom I trust very much directed me immediatly to ER. There I was told the absess located near the anal opening was to small to drain it need to come to a head , ok so I waited by the end of the week it was as large as a closed fist. Pain was unbareable, emergency Doctor had cut and process of draining had started .. I was sent home that day even though at first the Hospital wanted to keep me being a diabetic I felt it was best . for some reason they changed thier mind and sent me home . within 4 hrs I had a fever of 103 and was feeling quite ill. My Blood Presure was droping and had become dangerously low I had called the Hospital and was told to call 911 . Paramedics arived within 10 min and a local police officer arrived first maybe 3 min. taken to Hospital I was told i was Septic and was in danger of losing my life. after extreme measures and the excellence of the Hospital E R staff. I was brought to a stable level . Days of intervenous and oral Antibiotics anda weeks stay in the hospital. I was sent a week later To a Colon-Rectal surgeon he was to the point and was very honest in what was to happen for the next few months , a procedure was done and Surgeon placed a seton which permitted draining and It drained for 7 months… Hurray I had finaly had my Fistulatomy 3 days ago and have been experienceing little pain and discomfort koutos to my surgeon he definitly stood my his Honer of being the best Colon-Rectal surgeon in the state as far as Iam concerned Thanks Dr C.R.
