Coping With Fistulotomy

It started while I was showering- felt a very sore spot- thought at first was an external hemmeroid- but it was not loose- was hard and could barely clean there! We were flying out later that week to South Carolina and on way to airport to stay over- had the worse chills ever! My partner told me to get into hot tub to get the chills gone- which about 45 minutes later- worked- butt still hurt tremendiously- used neosporin that evening- with gauze pad- woke up during the night with extreme fever and some of the worse pain ever- thought I was going to have to go to hospital! Pain subsided somewhat-while in South Carolina- kept draining and bleeding- niece looked up symptoms- said it sounded like an abcess.

Few weeks later- bled alot while having bowel movement, my Family Dr. suggested colonoscopy- rectal surgeon to whom I have seen 2 years earlier for a hemmeroidectomy and then a fissure- said I had an anal fistula and told me I needed surgery to repair it.
Said it would hurt as bad as my anal fissure and hemerroidectomy! Yeeouch!

So- go in one week from tomorrow!

P.S.: My anal fissure was worse than anything I have EVER had!
