To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Fistula I began with a very small perianal abscess which was easily lanced by my primary care physician. It come back shortly after the procedure and trying to make it go away i would simply pop it like a pimple. This went on for months. The abscess kept coming back and I would pop it. Soon It became very large and I could no longer manage it on my own. I went back to my primary to learn I had developed a fistula. I will be having surgery in one week. If you have any kind of abcess do not ignore and seek medical treatment. This surgery could have been prevented if I only went to the doctor instead of taking matters into my own hands. April 2009
