After arriving, I had to see a doctor at the airport and he punctured a hole to let the puss and stuff drained. That allowed me to continue my trip for 2 weeks. I went to see my family doctor after getting back and was referred to see a specialist and she told me that it’s fistula. As mine was not too serious, she suggested that I could wait and see. Sometimes they healed by themselves. I lived with the problem for a couple of years and finally decided that it’s not going away and I should have it fixed while I’m still healthy. Finally the date was set and went through the pre-op and then the operation. I was worried a bit but had confidence in my surgeon A minute (?) after I was given the anaesthesia, I was out. When I slowly came around in the “waiting room”, I experienced headache and nausea. That went away in the second day. I also was given presription of Ratio-Lenoltec No 3 (pain killer) and Soflax (for constipation). So far, I only had to take the pain killer twice in the last 36 hours. Hopefully it will heal in a few weeks. The operation sounded more dreadful than it was. And I still feel difficult to tell friends about the operation. Comments
