To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Hemerrhoidectomy = torture This procedure is quite possibly the most horrifying experience of my life. I had a 10 pound, 23 inch long baby naturally (not by choice) and that is how my internal and external hemerrhoids [hemorrhoids] developed into foreign planets. After dealing with painful BM’s and bleeding, I decided to seek medical attention. The colonrectal doctor was “impressed” with my hemmerhoids [hemorrhoids] and highly recommended for me to do this. I wish I would have ran…and far! For one week I have been going to the bathroom in the tub because that is the only place I could do it because the pain was so excruciating. Surrounded by blood and fecal matter (looking like murder has happened in my bathroom), I would have to clean the tub in tears practically screaming from the pain and burn…then fill it again to sooth myself. Thank God water is paid here by our association! My Mother has saved me by serving as my 24 hour nanny for my newborn and now as a Mother myself, I feel for her having to hear me suffer this much. The painkillers made me sick and constipated me, so I cut back on them…forced to take the severe agony, then the mineral oil, stool softeners, and fiber supplements they put me brought on BM’s every time I stood up for more than two minutes for three days now. When I have a BM it is worse than giving birth! I am trying so hard to get through this but it is such a pain in the butt…no pun intended! And, to really cap off this story…I still have a hemerrhoid [hemorrhoid]. Why? February 2008
