To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Is this normal? I am a 43 year female. I had a stage four thrombosed roids that sent me to the ER. The largest (about the size of the end of my thumb)of the two was evacuated, supposedly the other was “okay”. The next day, it too became thrombosed. A week later, 8/8/08, I had a hemorrhoidectomy. I was under general anesthesia and have no idea what type of surgery it was. It has been 18 days. Though still in some pain and drip-dropping blood, I tried to go back to work yesterday, 8/25. Today, I am back in the bed with swelling and more pain than seems reasonable. It feels as if I have a firm mass in my perianal area. Is this normal? August 2008
