Haemorrhoids operation

I had my operation a week ago, here in Spain and like the the stories I have read, the op itself went well, but no-one, but no-one explained to me the pain I would, and am, suffering post op. I dread going to the toilet and have experienced all the similar symptoms the other people have, I daren’t go out too far in case I need to rush to the toilet and then the pain afterwards it almost unbearable. Reading that some of you are experiencing such discomfort several months after the op fills me with dread that I may have months of recovery before I start feeling better. I feel it was better putting up with the haemorrhoids [hemorrhoids], at least I didn’t get the terrible pain and knew how to cope with them. Someone, please tell me that it will be worth while. At the moment I am feeling so depressed.
