I am a 56 year old female in very good health.I have had hemorrhoids since the birth of my first child, 36 years ago, they have gotten progressively worst over the years. Operation went well, came home right after. I experienced a good deal of pain the first week and then less each day after. I go to the Dr. for my three week exam today. I am hoping he will release me to return to work. This was the most painful treatment I have ever experienced. I don’t know that I would ever have it done again. I am feeling much better now, mostly just discomfort with very little pain. I use Miralax every day and have not be constipated except for the first few days after the surgery. I can’t leave the house for several hours in the AM until I am sure I am finished in the bathroom. I have been taking it pretty easy so that I will have a shorter recovery time. I will say it hasn’t been as bad for me as some of the stories I have read. I feel very fortunate. R.J. July 2009
