its been 3 weeks now since my surgery it is still sore and tender when having a bm but it depends on hard stools the softer the bm the quicker the recovering time i found no more bleeding and i am doing my day to day jobs now with little discomfort really. Still taking laxitives not to much just 5m of ducolux every night.I find it hard to drink a lot of water but i know thats vert important. if you are reserching this website to make your mind up whether to have surgery it all depends on how much pain your in now and you must be able to stay in bed for as long as it takes to recover could be 3 weeks depending on the person. two weeks ago i would have said no way but today as the pain eases off i dont know. dont decide lightly on getting this surgery my doctor rang me and told me it will be worth it in the end. My life will be pain free from piles. i will keep you posted how im getting on over the next few weeks
