To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download hemmorhoidectomy I had my op on june 22nd, so i am now into seven weeks. I had internal piles and skin tags removed. I wish to god i had never had it done as i am still in loads of pain every time i need a BM. I saw the surgeon a month after i had it done to be told that he had seen two people prior to me and they were fine. I asked him why i was still in pain and that there were still swellings on the outside? His answer was if i had paid for cosmetic surgery then it wud be different. i am very low about the whole procedure, as i feel as my anal opening has shrunk to such a degree where i will never be able to ” go to the loo” normally ever again. I was actaully given an instrument called a St. Marks rectal stretcher, which i am meant to use a few times a day???? If i cant bear to touch the area, how can i be expected to insert this torpedo shaped instrument. I feel i am in a worse scenario than i was to start with, and have just been told by a gp at the hospital i have piles. So in 7 weeks i have achieved nothing but grief. I was diagnosed with fourth degree piles originally and sort help after they were bleeding quite badly. I am left with a feeling of sitting on cut glass plus excruciating pain every time i need the loo. Help !!!! August 2009
