To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Inguinal Hernia repair I was operated by a doctor at a hospital in Bangalore, India on 30th June 2007. It was mesh repair with administration of local anasthesia. The Operation lasted for about an hour. Post Operation I was awake, conscious and cheerful. I was shifted to my Single bed A/C Room and was asked to drink lots of water and was given a measuring plastic jug to measure the urine passed. I drank plenty of water as directed, but could not pass urine for about 8-10 hours of post operation. (I drank around 3 to 3 1/2 Lits of water in 24 hours period) But started passing urine little after 8-10 hours. (say around 100-200ml) in 24 hours period post operation. But gradually from 2nd day onwards urine discharge increased and became normal on the 3rd day of Operation. I was operated for Right Inguinal hernia. Before the operation my right testicle was very small as compared to my left testicle. But I noticed after 2nd day of my operation my right testicle swollen & hard and had become quite big as compared to my left testicle. The size of my left testicle before the operation was big, but after the operation it is 1/2 the previous size. But from 4th day onwards my right testicle started paining (although tolerable). Dr advised me to take pain killer tablets and I am taking 2 tablets per day (1000mg). I have to see the doctor for physical examination after 10 days as per his advise. 63 years of age. July 2007
