Epigastric Hernia Repair

by: Kedia on Tue, May 27 2008

Hello, I’m 26 years old and has had 2 hernia repairs done. I was born with a hernia and as I got older I thought it went away. After I had my first baby @ 22 I noticed the hernia had returned. 2 yrs later I decided to have the hernia procedure done, as I had been in so much pain it was time to have this problem resolved. Months after the surgery I noticed a lump in my stomach looking like the hernia had returned or something happened w/ the mesh used the first time around. Come to find out the incision buldged pushing against the mesh. I had the procedure corrected only this time there was a bigger incision made. I’m much happier w/the result this time. I just have one concern and that’s is it healthy for people who has had this procedure to get pregnant?
