I had this surgery back in June of 2007. I had no idea what I was in for, and the doctor didn’t inform me. He was a specialist. I went back a week after surgery and haven’t been back since. One, because I don’t have insurance. two, because he ripped off the steri strips, and left me with gapping holes, that I learned to doctor myself, and took 3 months for the incissions to heal. and they still have spells of severe itching at times!

I wish I’d found this site before my surgery, although I needed help, my problems were bad. But I can’t decide if they were worse then the new problems I have now. I still have terrible gas, (very embarrassing), and pain with gas. (I stay home most of the time.) I still have trouble eating, and have severe diarreaha, and I do mean severe. If I want to go anywhere, I try to be careful what I eat the day before, (not that it matters sometimes) and I don’t eat the day I am out, unless its on my way home, and if I am close enough to home… because I get gas within 20 minutes or less of eating, and often diarreaha. I sometimes have nausea/vomiting with diarreaha, and have tried to figure out what causes it. sometimes, there doesn’t seem to be a cause. I get so sick, nausea, with just gas pain at times. I often wonder, is this what the rest of my life is going to be like? Its terrible. Is there any help for such problems? Has anyone else had these problems? I thought they would settle down after a while… but sometimes it seems worse then ever.
