Complications-Nissen

by: Dustin on Fri, Apr 18 2008

I had my Nissen done in Jan 06. I was pleased for the first year. I was off all meds and my only side effects being gas bloat. Now I am on more PPI than prior to the surgery, I always wake feeling sick to which there is no relief because I cannot vomit.

My physical fitness has declined because my stomach starts to retch when I go running and my flatulence drives everyone crazy. I seem to have all the negative side effects with zero benefits. I have been deployed in Iraq for 13 months with no GI doctor in country, so I have zero answers on whats causing all of this. Hopefully when I return in 2 months I can get on a 6 month waiting list to see a GI doctor. THIS WASN’T IN THE BROCHURE!!
