To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My Nissen was the best thing that ever happened to me I am 24 years old and have had problems with reflux since age 9. My surgery was done August 11 so it’s been about 2 months. It was very tough at first and I couldn’t even eat yogurt…it had to be like stage 1 baby food. BUT, within a couple weeks I was eating more and more. Boost energy drinks were very helpful and kept some nutrition in me while it was hard to eat. Lots of water during meals is helpful. Now that it’s been 2 months I can eat ANYTHING, even spicy foods! Every now and then I get a little reflux (as you can read, the surgery is not 100%) but nothing that a little Maalox or Gas-X can’t fix (Gas-X also works to relieve pressure in the stomach). I take 1 OTC Zantac every morning but no prescriptions. This was well worth it and now I don’t have to worry about getting barret’s esophagus at a young age. Comments
