nissen Fundoplication Surgery

I had my surgery done on Dec 14th 2009.
I am home recovering now and I am so far feeling GREAT! The surgery was text book per the surgeon I developed a large Paraesophageal Hernia because my diaphragm failed due to Cushings Disease that was undiagnosed for YEARS.
The hernia caused me to get Bronchitis which was caused by the hernia. The bronchitis delveloped into Astham. I never had GERD I was and still am taking Prilosec and Advair which I hope to be able to discontinue in the future. I had a twist in my stomach so I did not have a choice whether or not to have the surgery. I did research before I chose a surgeon I am very pleased so far and keeping a postive attitude about the future.
