Had the procedure done 4 days ago

I had the procedure done four days ago, after two months of pure agony. My general practitioner recommended the best GI doctor in my city and here I am four days after the procedure and I feel so much better than I ever could have imagined.

Two days after the procedure I was able to take the dog on a four mile walk. It’s amazing. Better yet, I can sit for more than a minute without suffering extreme pain. As someone else mentioned, shop around for the right surgeon. My surgeon practices at a clinic that specializes in diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus and has specialized training.

After the procedure make sure that you eat a high fiber diet, drink lots of water, take your pain meds, and take your baths. I couldn’t fully empty my bladder for the first couple of days and the baths really helped. The pain meds make me very nauseous and constipated so I drastically cut back on them. I think I took three painkillers yesterday, and I’ve only taken one today.
