5 days…

I had my surgery 5 days ago. I’ll go into more detail in another post on what a trip that was, but I’m going to stick with how I feel right now.

I can feel the stitches with every movement. Getting in and out of the car, rolling over in bed, walking, standing up, sitting down, laughing, sneezing, coughing, bending over… pretty much every time I move I can feel the stitches pull a little bit. It is only painful depending on how up to date I am with my percoset. I’ve had only one bowel movement since the surgery, and that was an unpleasant result of a milk of magnesia dose. I’ve been eating regularly so I know there’s a backlog of waste in there somewhere and it kind of freaks me out so I’ll probably do another dose of milk of magnesia tonight.

Probably the most painful problem I’ve had are the spasms. When I’m resting and I doze off and something wakes me up I get an anal spasm, which basically is my anus clenching involuntarily. IT HURTS.
