chronic fissure- so much pain, GET THE SURGERY.

I had a chronic fissure for months- it was the most painful thing of my entire life. i had to have a huge bath towel with me every time i had to make a bowel movement because i needed something i could scream into and bite just to pass the movement. it was indescribably terrible.. and finally i went to a colonorectal doctor and he identified my problem, which was first incorrectly identified as hemmorhoids.

After the surgery, i was in IMMENSE pain. now that pain was on the same level as the fissure itself. i couldn’t clench my muscle back there without wanting to kill myself, and passing gas was so, so incredibly painful. i was crying in pain the first two to three days. it takes at least a week to heal from it, so be prepared. it hurts to sit, don’t drive, etc. then, when my bowel movement came, it hurt so badly. but, over time, as the fissure healed, it caused less and less pain until over more time i am completely cured. i am so grateful for the surgery- i can’t even describe it in words. BUT, you absolutely must pay attention to the following: SITZ BATHS.

you must do very hot sitz baths 3 times a day to accelerate healing. also, take stool softeners and drink a lot of fiber. in everything. eat papaya too. papaya is a natural stool softener and it makes bowel movements more gentle. really, papaya is a miracle worker. nature’s miracle. trust me on this one– it helps.
