To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download I had surgery in March This has been just an absolute nightmare. I had my surgery on an out patient basis. The night of my surgery, I was in the worst pain I have ever experienced. Broken bones did not feel nearly as bad. My main problem turned out to be rectal abscesses that developed post op. I had two huge pockets of pus that circled my anus. I went to the emergency room that night and was admitted. The pain medication was my friend. The doctor was good enough to allow massive doses. The next morning I returned to surgery to have drains put in to drain the abscesses. I stayed in the hospital almost a week. Now it’s October. I have the same issue others have had with the inability to keep myself clean after a bowel movement. The abscesses continue to appear. My NEW doctor is unable to find the source of them. I have now had 4 additional surgeries to insert drains. This has been a nightmare that seems to have no end. October 2009
