To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My Husband Survived Bladder Cancer My husband had a radical cystectomy. His bladder was removed and a new bladder was created from his intestines. The surgery was on Jan 28 a little over a month ago. He has been recovering nicely with great care from his Doctor. He is learning how to use his new bladder , he’s motivated and pleased with that progress. Most of all he is cancer free ! No more cat and mouse games with those persistent tumors. His doctor said he will only have the scar to show. He was in good health and thank God young enough where things worked as the doctor expected. The surgery and the week in the hospital were hard but, he made it! March 2008
